: I am new to FM and am having some difficulty figuring out
: how to sort the investments in a portfolio value report.
: I find that the order is neither according to name or
: the symbol. I would have thought that the default order
: would be one of the above.

: What settings should I use so that I get the one of the

Hi sj,

There is a concept of an "investment stack" in Fund Manager. Your investments can be sorted/ordered in any way you want. See the "Investments" menu. For example, "Investments / Order..." allows you to manually manipulate the investment stack order. Most reports (including the Portfolio Value report) are sorted by this investment stack order by default. While looking at a Portfolio Value report, notice the "Sort" main menu. By default, the "Investment Stack" option will be checked, but you can sort the report by any column, just by clicking the appropriate item from this sort menu. Use "Sort / Inverse Sort" to toggle ascending/descending sorting.

Thanks,
Mark
