: I am a first time user. I downloaded my Ameritrade history files in csv format and tried to get Fund Manger 7.7 to import them from a folder. But on the "next" import page it is just blank. I worked from the "import transactions from Ameritrade" option.

: Anyone can tell me how should I import the transaction history into the program?

: Thanks,

: Chow

Hi Chow,

It sounds like you are using the Advisor version? The Ameritrade import is for files downloaded by advisors. These files are not formatted as csv files, but *.DAT files. Are you signed up as an Advisor with Ameritrade?

If you do not have access to the advisor downloads, you could either use the transaction retrieve feature, or you can import a csv file using the "File / Import / Transactions / Generic" menu command. The transaction retrieve is easier, and you can read about that here:
