: I'm now trying out FM and I like it. But I have a question regarding the number of investments allowed in a portfolio. I actively trade and invest in both stocks and stock options. If you consider each stock option associated with the underlying as a separate investment, then it wouldn't take too long for me to exceed 2000 or even 5000, say, in perhaps a few years, if not sooner. Of course, I have the option of using a different portfolio to track my trades, but then there would be a discontinuity in my data. Would you consider increasing the max. number of investments allowed in a portfolio in future versions of FM?

: Thanks for your response.

Hello jc,

Thanks for trying out Fund Manager. Every investment file (*.dat) that you have open counts against this 2000/5000 limit. Thanks for the feedback on this limit. The 5,000 limit is something that I do expect will continue to increase as future versions come out. If this limit does not move up fast enough for your needs please contact us, and we can figure something out.

Thanks,
Mark
