Reorganizing portfolios[ Message Board ] [ Archives ] [ Search ] Posted by Kelvin on July 01, 2006 at 16:15:44: I'm finally upgrading from v4.7 to the current v7.7 (Personal). In order to use the automated retrieve of transactions (my primary reason for getting the new version), I understand that I need to put the investments in each brokerage account in a different portfolio, each of which should be a subportfolio of my top level portfolio. The nuisance is that the Portfolio Wizard is demanding that I create new investments to populate it; if I don't, the portfolio gets wiped out when I exit the wizard. How do I create a blank sub-portfolio that I can then populate with the various investment files I've already created? Relatedly, I already have one portfolio that includes all my investments in my retirement account. How can I turn that portfolio into a sub-portfolio?
