: MBNA (symbol KRB) underwent a reorganization on 1/3/06, during which shareholders received 0.5009:1 of Bank of America (symbol BAC) stock + cash of $4.125/share. A bit later, I sold the Bank of America stock was later sold.

: I'm confused how this transaction should be handled using the "Investment Data" nomenclature of Fund Manager.

: Also, using OFX, what's recorded in my Subportfolio is the Cusip Number of KRB, along with a cash tender proceeds of $4.125/share. Is there any way to accurately and clearly record the complete transaction, using this "investment" record, rather than a completely new "Investment" transaction?

Hi Steve,

This sounds like you need to record 2 transactions in your existing BofA investment:

1) Split with a ratio of 0.5009 for 1
2) Distributed dividend for the amount of money you received in cash.

Thanks,
Mark
