Cash and Money Market Woes

Mark,

I thought setting up a portfolio was getting to be a relatively painless exercise but am getting flashbacks from a couple of weeks ago. Here's what happening --please excuse the excruciating detail as I'm trying to draw light on any detail that may be causing the whole mess.

1) I manually set up an account and enter a default cash account called "cash account" on the basis of an initial deposit.
2) Enter by hand transactions over the same month.
3) Retrieve OFX entries for the following month (the first month that is available), checking the box that asks whether transactions should be coordinated with cash account.
4) Upon OFX retrieval, the data received concerning cash account are labelled as such. However, there's a series of money-market transactions that, upon retrieval, show up as deficit entries (labelled in red), and upon retrieval, the account's overall balance for the month appears to be falsely attributed to cash account, not accounting for the deductions made to purchase stocks. OFX names the money market transactions "ZZZ00". But ZZZ00, the money market transactions, appear to be mislabeled by either OFX or FM (can't tell which) under General Investment Properties/General and 'Large Cap Stock" transactions under Investment Properties/Asset Type.
5) THe portfoliio balance is more than 30% off as a consequence.

If possible, please advise how to remedy what should be a very simple list of transactions --nothing fancy...just cash account, money market account and stocks, with a couple of dividends.
