: : When retrieving prices I am getting the message

: : "fm.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows

: : An error log is being generated"

: : This happens sporadically, but I'm still seeing it a few times per week.

: : Any assistance that you can provide would be appreciated.

: Hi Dave,

: Sorry to hear about the problem. Can you tell me what version of Fund Manager you're using? Please see "Help / About...". Also, the next time this happens, please see if you can't look at the technical details of the log crash to see if it tells you an "Address" and "Code". The address and code would be some hex numbers like: 0x0004ABCD

: Also, if you can pinpoint any other item that causes this to happen, like you're canceling the retrieve, or you do some certain step before it crashes.

: Thanks,
: Mark

: Fund Manager - Portfolio Management Software

The version is 7.1 and it is registered. There are no address codes reported and the only option in the window with the message is to cancel the creation of an error log which I can't find anywhere in the Fund Manager folder structure. My sense is that this seems to happen most often when fm raises an alert following a price update, but I'll try to get more information when it happens again.

Also fm is reporting each morning and upon each start up that a new version of Fund Manager is available, but the window showing the details of the update is alway empty. Irritating but not critical.

Regards, Dave
