: what am i missing here....

Hi Glenn,

When retrieving transactions Fund Manager tries to match up incoming transactions with your existing investments in that account. If it finds a matching investment, it puts the transactions into that investment. If it can't find a matching investment, it creates a new one. (This is configurable, but this is the default behavior.)

To find a matching investment, Fund Manager first looks at the CUSIP. If the CUSIP matches, then it is considered a match. If the CUSIP of your investment is empty, Fund Manager will look for a match based on Symbol. When you retrieve your transactions, is your CUSIP being recorded properly? You can see this in "Investment Properties... / General".

It should be okay to update the symbol for retrieving prices, and leave the CUSIP alone, to match up for retrieving transactions.

Thanks,
Mark
