Money Market Manual to OFX Retrieve

Mark,

I'm setting up an account with manual entry of transactions for 3 month's worth of data from year 2004, followed by automated (OFX) entry of the remainder of data to present, and have a couple of questions concerning proper proceedure. Not sure if it matters, but the OFX data is Ameritrade. Anyways:

1) How do I align a manually created money market account with the OFX demarcated money market data AFTER 3 months so that the two represent the same thing?

2) When this account was initiated, a large portion was transferred in the form of a single stock. I wish to record the basis at transfer as a TRANSFER as opposed to a purchase, but am not sure how to do that...

Thank you for any assistance with these 2 matters.
