The share price paid or received. (Example: 10.50)

Exchange Rate to Default

Optionally specify the exchange rate between this investment's currency and the default currency to use for this particular transaction.  If no exchange rate is specified, the global currency exchange rate settings will be used.  This option is only available for investments that are not assigned to the default currency.  (more info)

Use Cash Account

When recording a buy or sell transaction the corresponding cash will be entered into your default cash account.  In the case where the investment is not in the default currency and you have multiple cash type investments of differing currencies in the same sub-portfolio as the investment, you will be given the choice of which cash investment to use.  Otherwise, your specified default cash account will be used.

Select the appropriate radio button to choose either a Buy or a Sell transaction.

All entries should be entered as positive value for both buy and sell transactions.

When recording a new transaction, investments with income style of "Bond Interest" will have an additional field for entering Accrued Interest.  On buy transactions enter any accrued interest paid for these shares.  On sell transactions enter any accrued interest received for these shares.  The accrued interest will be recorded as an interest income distribution in the investment.  See Recording Bond Transactions.
