: I tried to post a message a few minutes ago, but for some reason it doesn't show up...

: How can I use historical information to do some analysis? Basically I would like to display the "Investment Overlay - Price + Dist" for a few stocks. What my $100 invested at a certain date in the past would be worth today if all dividends would have been re-invested? I can download historical price information, but how to account for dividends?

: Thank you.

Hi Daniel,

Yes, to include the dividends you would have to find a source for that data.
Currently, the Yahoo (Historical) server provides that for stocks, but not
Canadian funds. I'm not sure where to find this data. You might want
to check out:

http://www.canada-stockwatch.com/

They may offer the data in a format you can download/import.

Thanks,
Mark
