: : Mark, : : Tried to use transaction retrieval and received signon invalid. How can I contact you about the specifics without using the message board. : : Thanks : : Hi Gary, : You can fill out the contact form here: : http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/contact.html : Please don't send any account or password information though... Here are : some generic instructions on getting your account set up and working: : You will need to have an online account set up with your broker/fund : company. Some broker/fund companies actually have a separate account : for this service. It may be called Direct Download or Web Connect. It : is the same feature used by Quicken and Microsoft Money to download : transactions. Once you get signed up with your broker/fund company you : should receive an ID/password. You can then set up a sub-portfolio for : this broker/fund company, and assign this ID/password to the : sub-portfolio properties. To do this, just open up the new "Portfolio : Editor" with "View / Portfolio Editor...". Right click on any : portfolio, and choose the option to create a new sub-portfolio from : the popup menu. On the "Portfolio Properties" dialog there will be a : "Transaction Retrieve Settings..." button. This is where you assign : which broker, the user ID, password, and account number for this : portfolio. Then, just do an internet retrieve of your transactions. : "Edit / Internet Retrieve / Transactions..." will do the retrieve, or : you can press the button on the toolbar. : Feel free to reply to this post or use the contact form link above : if you have any other questions. : Thanks, : Mark Mark - Thanks got it working and it is a great feature, however I came across a couple things of interest: 1. Do not see a way to indicated reinvested dividends. It is being handled as a dividend distribution and a separate purchase. 2. Dividends earned on the default cash account is being treated as a dividend and a purchase, which doubles the amount. 3. Also no way to indicate that a redemption in the default cash account is an account fee. Thanks : -- : Mark Beiley : Fund Manager, portfolio management software for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/00/XP/2003 :
