: Mark,

: I am testing FM7 Beta, and I was wondering if there is any way to merge two different *.dat files. A number of years ago the name of my default cash account changed names, and instead of just changing its name I created a new fund and made it my default cash account, selling the cash from the original account. What I would like to do is to merge these two files into one without having to do it manually. Each account has hundreds of transactions.

: Thanks,
: Gary T.

Hi Gary,

There is no command to merge investment files automatically. You could
however export all your transactions from the 1 cash account, and then
import them into the other one. This would effectively merge the 2 cash
accounts. I'd recommend exporting to .QIF, and then using that to import
into the 2nd cash account.

Thanks,
Mark
