: Mark,
: Sorry to bother you..but I'm stuck.

: I am migrating from win2K to XP by building a new xp disk and then migrating my applications & data (one by one) to the XP disk to assure they work properly and I have latest drivers, etc....
: I loaded & licensed FM on the new XP disk OK - no problems.
: I copied all files from my_data folder on the win2K disk to my_data on the XP disk, but FM on the XP disk will not recognize the copied FM files.
: I recall the last time I upgraded a system I had to go into DOS and correct all the FM file attributes on the FM files that I copied to the "new" my_data folder. Once the file attributes were set properly (on the new target folder), then all worked OK.
: I just can't remember what I did back then :(
: I'm sure you will know how to properly copy all the files from one disk to another and get me going.

: Thanks
: Mike

Hi Mike,

All you should need to do is copy the files over. Portfolio files have the extension of .mm4, and investments are .dat. You'll want to make sure to keep all your portfolios and investments in the same relative location to each other. What happens when you try to open a portfolio or some invstments? Do you get some sort of error message?

Thanks,
Mark
