Very recently we've fixed a bug that could cause crashing after you delete sub-portfolios. This fix has been incorporated into the upcoming 7.4 release, but if you'd like to try it out beforehand, just send me an email, and I can point you to a pre-release with this bug fix. We can see if it fixes the crashing problem you've experienced. What performance figure is showing negative performance for cash accounts? Normally, cash accounts are kept at a constant $1 share price, and therefore the yields are only affected by distributions and account fees, not money that is added/removed at the same $1 share price. Also, you can use the Portfolio Editor (View / Portfolio Editor) to copy/paste entire branches of sub-portfolios. You can use copy/paste across portfolio files (*.mm4), or even within a given portfolio file. You can also use drag/drop to move or copy sub-portfolios and investments. Thanks,
