: Hi all,
: I have created a TXT-file to be imported into FM Pro.
: The following data are in it. The "SYMB MM DD" is on the first line. The second line in the TXT-file starts with the actual data.

: However, importing doesn't work. Any ideas what might be wrong?
: Thanks!

: IMPORT.TXT FILE:
: -----------------------------------------
: SYMB MM DD YY OO HH LL NAV VV

Hello Stan,

This looks good. Are you using the "Generic" price import? When you use the generic price import, you specify the format in that dialog, it doesn't need to be on the first line of the file. It doesn't hurt to be on the first line of the file though. I just did a quick test, and it imported okay using the "Input Format" string of:

SYMB MM DD YY OO HH LL NAV VV

You would want to make sure "specify date" and "specify symbol" are turned off, and if you don't already have this investment (GDVE) created, you'd want to turn on the option to create new investments as needed.

Thanks,
Mark
