Portfolio opening speed

I posted a message a while back about how long it takes to open portfolios. Well, I have some more info on this. I run FM on a laptop with a wifi card. If I remove the wifi card, FM opens portfolios quickly. But if I reinsert the wifi card, it takes much longer for a portfolio to open and it's obvious that something is being transmitted to the internet. As soon as the little transmit light goes out, the portfolio opens. I'm not paranoid, but it appears someone is scanning my portfolios when I open them. Tell us, Mark, that it's not you. Or do you have any other ideas what's going on? BTW, I run McAffee virus checker and regularly scan for spyware using Spy Sweeper. The FM behaviour I'm describing isn't related to any of this.
