: Hello,
: I'm using the beta 4.2.207 version and I can't figure out the Total Portfolio %Gain-I number.
: The %Gain-I for each investment is right on the money but the combined number at the bottom
: of the report is screwy by my calculations (total portfolio: end value + distributeddistributions
: + redemptions - purchases/purchases). Any ideas why this number doesn't reflect total portfolio
: gain. Does it have anything to do with the fact that cash has been put into the account and purchases
: have been made throughout the history of the acct?

How are you calculating these items? The purchases, redemptions, and dist
distributions are the sum of all of these for all open investments. Another
possibility is that you have some "hidden" investments...

: In a possibly related question, why in the portfolio/investments overlay graph is the value of my
: portfolio positive when I the actual value of the portfolio is negative with respect to the starting
: balance? Does this have something to do with the "weighted average of the performance of each
: investment"?

I assume you mean the portfolio value has gone down since the start? The
starting value for this graph may be higher than your actual money. You
can adjust the starting hypothetical value for this graph under "Options/
Preferences...".

: Thanks to anyone who might be able to cast light on this stuff.
: Jeff

Thanks,
Mark
