: I received a re-invested dividend for a unit stock fund in my 401K portfolio.
: When I tried to put this into my 401K portfolio tracker portfolio, it "blew up"
: the "distributions per share" because I had no shares in this investment option at the time of the dividend.

: The tables look OK (Prices, Investments etc) but the graph for that unit stock fund went bananas after the date of the dividend.

: Am I doing something wrong? Is there a trick to make the distributions per share not blow up?

: Regards, Larry

Hi Larry,
I would guess you own a very small number of shares (not 0), thus FM
is calculating your dist/share for you. When it is 0, FM will prompt you
for the dist/share to use, othewise it calculates it automatically.
Use "Options/Preferences..." to turn up the share digit display, and
then use "Edit/All Data..." to fix your transactions, so you have your
desired 0 shares. You will have to edit that distribution, to get prompted
for the dist/share.

Thanks,
Mark
