Bullish and bearish

Mark
I have this question (or maybe it is a suggestion)
An important element in my portfolio (but, I guess, in most people's portfolios, especially for active traders / investors) is the number of investments (money invested) in a bullish direction vs. the number of investments in a bearish direction.
It would be nice to be able to see, in a report, the performance of bullish vs bearish investments, the amount allocated in each group etc etc.
The answer to this problem is not just as easy as looking at long vs short investments. If I buy a PUT option, that is a long investment, but it is a bearish one. If I go short a PUT option, that is a short position, but it is a bullish one. If I buy an inverted etf (for example, QID, but there are many others), that is a long position, but it is a bearish one. And so forth.
So, the question is: is there a way to discriminate between bullish and bearish positions? (besides creating ad hoc sub-portfolios, which of course is a solution in a way, but not a very good one, cause most people probably want to create sub-portfolios according to other kinds of criteria - at least, that is my case).
Bottom line: it would be nice to have, in the investment property dialog, for each investment, a simple bullish / bearish "flag", adjustable by the user in a discretionary way, so that in the reports one can easily create ad hoc reports for the two "directional" groups of investment.
As usual, thanks for the great program, and apologies for my english.

John
