: : Have now used "Windows/Cascade" and, yes I can now see the entire scroll bar. There is still just the 1st field in view. I have tried dragging the slide bar and using the < and > arrows - and holding them for several seconds - and nothing happens. When I use the slide bar it immediately returns to the left end as soon as I release it. If I try click/drag an edge the right side and > arrow fly off the screen and I must Close All reports to get rid of the report.

: Hi Bob,

: Please try this:

: 1) Make sure you resize the window using "Windows / Cascade" so you can see the whole window on your screen.

: 2) Click on the horizontal scroll bar slider and drag it from the left to the right, holding down the mouse button as you drag it. (Do not use the < and > buttons). See if you can drag it until you can see a divider in the header section, that will allow you to resize a column smaller. It sounds like you somehow have very wide column(s), that need to be resized back down.

: Do you have a high speed internet connection? If so, you can
: call in the morning, and we can do a quick web conference, and I can try and straighten it out.

: If you don't have a high speed internet connection, you may need to delete some registry keys that remember your column width preferences. This should be our last resort...

: Thanks,
: Mark

Hi Mark

I have tried the drag method, and held the (very small) slider tab on the right hand side for up to a minute. No divider appears and the slider springs back to the left as soon as it is released.

I agree with your diagnosis of vey wide columns.

I have a high speed internet connection but don't know how to set up a web conference. If you tell me what's to be done I will call you Friday morning (Sydney time) if thats OK. I could also telephone you if that's a better option.

Thanks for all your assistance. I believe it is a problem with my PC.

Regards

Bob
