Still doesn't work[ Message Board ] [ Archives ] [ Search ] Posted by KC on June 28, 2006 at 19:35:31: In Reply to: Re: Two questions posted by Mark on June 28, 2006 at 13:50:28: : : I see what you mean, Mark. For the Yahoo (Historical) quotes, the five character options symbols have to be suffixed with ".X". But for PCQuote, they are to be prefixed with a "." Now does it mean that I have to modify the options symbols in my portofolio accordingly in order to retrieve prices from these servers? That would be really time consuming, though. : Hi KC, : Unfortunately, that is correct. Fund Manager uses the recorded symbol to request price quotes, and this symbol must match the symbol used on the quote server you're using. : Thanks,
I've appended the symbols with ".X" and "." and tried downloading with Yahoo and PCQuote servers, but I am not making any progress. Is it because the default data fields are associated with stocks: "Open, High, Low, Close," whereas options data have "Last Trade, Open, Bid, Ask," etc. in the data fields? I'm just taking a shot here. Can you provide a solution to this? Thank you. I really need to be able to download options prices. KC
