: How do your interest distributions show up? Do they show up as both a distributed interest and a buy? It may be that these are being reported as distributed, instead of reinvested by your broker. In that case, you may need to record the corresponding purchase manually, or edit the distribution transaction, and change it to "Reinvested".

: Thanks, Mark, your comment was the basic point. As I dug into how interest on core accounts is reported in various accounts I found it is a real can of worms - much more than I care to know.
