This dialog is available from the Options / Report Preferences... menu command under any Report window.
This dialog page allows you to specify preferences on how the Portfolio Performance report is displayed. The following options are available:

Report Date Range |
Displays the Yield figure using for the period specified by the report's date settings |
Period Owned Within Report Date Range |
Displays the Yield figure for the period where shares were owned within the specified report's date settings. For example, if the report's date range settings are Jan 1, 2012 to March 31, 2012 and an investment was initially purchased on Feb 1, 2012 and was held through March 31, the yield would be reported on this investment for the period from Feb 1 - March 31, 2012. |
Cash Flow Style: |

Invested and Distrib. |
Displays the cash flow using these fields. See External Cash Flow. |
Contributions, Withdrawals, and With-Dist. |
Displays the cash flow using these fields. See External Cash Flow. When using this cash flow style you can also choose whether or not the horizontal sub-total and total lines are drawn in these columns. These fields do not simply sum at the sub-total level, as the definition of internal/external is specific to each report line. Not drawing horizontal lines helps illustrate these are not simple totals. |
Include Accrued Interest |
Any accrued interest is included in
the report. Beginning Value, Ending Value, Gain, and all the %Gain
figures include accrued interest. (By default, accrued interest is included in the Yield column. Whether or not to include accrued interest in yield calculations can be controlled in the General Preferences - Yield Dialog.)

Display Removed Money as Negative Value |
Any field that removes money from the portfolio will be shown as a negative
amount. This includes the
Withdrawals, With-Dist., and Distrib. fields.
