: You must enter all prices and transactions into an investment in the currency assigned to that investment. You can assign it as either US $ or Canadian $, but whatever you choose, you need to use for both pricing and transactions. The currency settings are for converting entire investments from one currency to another, so if you created this stock in Canadian $, but wanted to display all your investments in US $, you could do this. You'll have to decide whether you want to track this investment in US or Canadian dollars, and then record all your pricing/transactions in that currency. if i understand you correctly, there isn't any way to get fund manager to accurately work with this stock. if i track it and enter buy/sells in can$ it will misrepresent the amounts when it subtracts/adds to the core money account, which is in u.s.$. if i enter the buys/sells in u.s.$, so that buys/sells are accurately represented in the core money account, then it will misrepresent the returns on the stock (the daily prices are in can$). is this correct? i suppose a workarount could be to enter the buys/sells without the stock being in a portfolio, while entering the subtractions/additions to the core money account manually.
