: Hi Mark, thanks for your EMail response
: Have all my accounts and funds on a single Master Portfolio, that includes my wife's IRA as well my different accounts and works well.
: Since I use different strategies and timing systems here is what I will like to have.
: Break the Master Portfolio into several sub-portfolios such as
: System A
: System B
: System C
: Each system will have a different set of securities/investments allocations according with a specific strategy, but some will be present on each one with different %.
: At any given time I like to have a view of All investments as in Master Portfolio using all the Graphs/Reports.
: Also like to then go into each System and have an overview of the total investments and use the graphs/reports for that particular subportfolio.
: Is this possible? or should just set an individual separated portfolio for each System?
: thank you very much
: David

Hi David,

Yes, you can do this. This is really what sub-portfolios are used for. Just create your sub-portfolios using either the New Portfolio Setup Wizard or the Portfolio Editor. Once you have your sub-portfolios set up with their investments in them, you can graph/report at any level in the sub-portfolio hierarchy. When you create a report, you choose the sub-portfolio to report on. Graphs plot based on the "Active" portfolio. You can select any sub-portfolio to be the active one from the Graphs menu under "Investments / Set Active Portfolio", or you can also set it from within the Portfolio Editor. The active portfolio tag is only used by the graphs. The active portfolio is visually indicated in the Portfolio Editor by a red check mark on that sub-portfolio's folder.

Thanks,
Mark
