This is not due to Fund Manager being in trial mode.

When it fails, what is the error message?

Can you browse to these sites and look up quotes using your web browser? I'm just wondering if your internet connection is working at all. I assume it is, since you posted this message...

Did anything happen on the 29th that you recall? Did you update Fund Manager?

You might also try completely exiting your firewall, just to see if this makes a difference. After you exit it, I'd suggest re-booting, and making sure it is not running at all after you re-boot, and then try retrieving. Sometimes those programs can be quite persistent.
