reorganize portfolios

i have a large number of portfolios, each containing 3 stocks. some individual stocks are in several portolios. many of the portfolios are generally not used but i don't want to delete them since i may need them for research in the future. but i don't want to be looking through all of them when i there are fewer that are currently used day to day.

i attemped to create a new folder ('open portfolio'>new folder) then dragging the unused portfolios to the new folder. but i have found that if try to open them from the new folder (they are all still in the 'my-data' folder), fm tells my it can't find the investments.

the portfolio editor doesn't seem to help since in only operates on a currently open portfolio, but not the master porfolio.

how do i resolve this?
